To download the files in OneDrive to your local disk, I would suggest use OneDrive sync client, if you just want to download part of the files in your OneDrive to local disk, there is a feature called OneDrive Files On-Demand. But if you want to download all the files and folders to your desktop, you can turn off the feature in OneDrive settings.
